The manager of Vallter and the commercial manager of Espot and Port Ainé attend the conference, which seeks to promote female leadership and promote equality in the sports sector.
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) participated on 24 and 25 October in Zaragoza in the first National Congress Network of Leaders, Women Directors in Sports, a conference organized by the Spanish Sports Association (ADESP), the Government of Aragon and the Fundació Esport Jove of the Consejo Superior de Deportes. The manager of Vallter, Patricia Torres Hostench, and the commercial manager of Espot i Port Ainé, Gemma Tost Lladós, are attending the conference, which aims to be a meeting place, training and networking with leaders in sports and female leadership.
The Congress brings together women directors and professionals from the sports field throughout Spain, with the aim of promoting female leadership and promoting equality in the sector. During the two days, key issues such as employability, new leadership models and the visibility of female talent in sports, among others, will be analyzed.
There will be presentations, round tables, workshops and the presentation of good practices related to the incorporation of women in all areas of sport. Likewise, initiatives that are setting trends and transforming the reality of women in the sector will be made known.
This event is part of the ADESP Spanish Sports Women's Network platform, which has as its main objective to promote the participation of women in the sports industry.
For Torres, the first woman to manage a ski resort in the Spanish Pyrenees, "it is a pride to participate in this Congress activating our female talent in the world of sport, highlighting professionalism, opportunities and transforming the molds in sport and society". Tost added that participating in this congress "is a way of reaffirming that talent has no gender, and that diversity is key to growing sport and society".
In addition, yesterday the commercial managers of La Molina, Marta Viver, and Vallter, Carol Torres, attended the 3rd edition of the International Women and Sports Congress (IWISC), organized by the Union of Sports Federations of Catalonia (UFEC) and the Department d'Esports of the Generalitat, with the support of ENGSO and the European Commission, within the EU Sports Platform. The meeting promotes women's sports and women's leadership in all sports fields. IWISC is conceived as a transformative movement that promotes women's sports as an agent of social change and defends equality, inclusion and female leadership in the sports field. It brought together more than 200 women involved in various areas of sports: athletes, coaches, managers, lawyers, communicators and investors.
